Faith and Learning Colloquia
To begin our faith and learning journey, the MNU faculty will read The Soul of a Christian University, edited by Steve Beers. Authors of the various chapters represent many CCCU institutions, and this book is often the introductory text for new faculty in CCCU institutions and affiliates. The Soul of a Christian University includes an up-to-date chapter on the integration of faith and learning.

This book will lay the foundation for the main feature of faculty development this year - five Faith and Learning Colloquia. Each colloquium will feature a panel consisting of faculty and administrators from one academic division and a facilitator. The facilitator will generate discussion among the panel members concerning a section of The Soul of a Christian University. Near the end of the colloquium, the audience will have an opportunity to reflect on the panel’s discussion. Then the facilitator will offer closing comments. We highly encourage all faculty and administrators to make these colloquia a scheduling priority and attend these seminars. Snacks will be served!
